Kind of late notice, but if anyone is interested, come on down. SVTOA is sponsoring a Driving Safety seminar at Drew Ford Thursday night (June 16) at 7pm. Brian Pennings, a driving instructor for CHP will be there and will be discussing defensive driving and some performance techniques designed to make you a better, safer driver.

SVTOA is sponsoring, but its open to all (even SCS)!

Several other clubs have had Brian speak and its been a really good success and hes been asked back multiple times.

Come down to the main building at Drew Ford at 7 and let them know you are there for the SVOTA seminar.

Thanks.

That sounds like the same guy that talked to us on base a year or two ago. It's probably a little better though, sine it'll be aimed at people with high performance vehicles.

If it's the same guy he was great, I highly recommend it!

He does many of these, so very likely was Brian. I have not seen one, so I'm looking forward to it.

I probably won't end up going, but might...depends on how tired I am after work tomorrow. I'm SURE everyone can benefit from his presentation, and he keeps it fun as well.

I really want to go to a precision driving school. Now THAT would be great!

Not sure what you mean by precision???

Just another word for a performance driving school. J-turns, power slides, etc. etc.

SVTOA puts on a big one of those once a year. Plus a couple other smaller ones....

A school? Or an autocross track?

A school? Or an autocross track?

We do at least 2 small agility course events here in SD for our local chapter. But the big one is the regional On-Track Buttonwillow event in November. We own the track for the weekend - just SVTOA, instructors are there for you, its awesome. I missed it last year and have been kicking myself in the ass ever since.

If you needed a reason to join SVTOA, this would be it. Plus we do other fun stuff as well, cruises, car shows, whatever we can.

Last chance, come on down at 7 if anyone wants in!

Thanks.

I thought Brian did a great job as well. Thanks for providing the SCS representation!
