sw shutting down, I get screwed

I was just informed by Linda at SW that they JUST NOW found they're going out of business NOV 1.

They told me they have no idea if or when ED is ever coming back from florida.

I've had my Maverick with ED now since Stangwerks 2006. It's been painted and re-assembled, but needs a lot to be done still.

they told me to pick it up ASAP.

it still needs wet sanding/buffing, finally reassembly (windows, etc etc) re-chromed bumpers, and underfinishing/coating as well as one small body touch--up bodywork wise.

I'M fucking furious. $10,000 dollers spent. Much has been done, and it's 85% complete, but this means I may need to do some out of pocket expense on it.

If anyone knows ED, please get him in contact with me. He's always been a stand up guy, to the end, and perhaps he'll still come through with me.

I just don't know what to do now. I promised the car would be done

I just got off the phone with the guy in charge of everything right now. He's a super cool dude. He's handling the foreclosure of the loans for SW, so he's basically in charge now.

I've got no worries about getting my car out, as they're not going to shut the doors or disappear or anything like that.

Thursday I'm picking it up. He even said they've got a few left over fox's in the back and he'd be happy to give me a drivetrain from one for the maverick. This chears me up slightly. I'll keep you all informed.

i Told him initially that I wanted an "extended" time, as I didn't have enough $$$$ we stretched it out initially over a year just so I could make monthly payments to him, which he was totally cool about.

at the end of that year, I didn't push to get it finished. I've got a couple of other projects, and truth be told, it was free storage for me. Being that I wasn't financially prepared to finish the car, I didn't push him at all to get it done.

I certainly feel your pain. I had to essentially steal back my car from the body shop that repaired it when it closed. An employee of the shop let me in to get my car when she was going to collect her tools. If it wasn't for that, I would have broken in.

Luckily my car was mostly completed (but needed a ton of clean up and some reassembly), and I actually owed the shop some money. But it was a shitty situation nonetheless. Good luck with this.

there is a fox gt back there off the books with a complete roll cage back there that can be had cheap...blah blah blah.
