Don't do gear installs, but we've got Richard and Dustin at CPR in Santee, 619-449-1706 who do them for 300-325 last I checked.

As for the gears, we have 4.10 gears for $239 (http://www.lastcallracing.com/frp-m-4209-g410a.html). Haven't to this day received a good answer as to why the 4.10 gears are the most expensive as we can sell 3.73's for 179, and 4.30s for 199... but it is what it is.

All figured, you'll be just around 600 bundled with taxes and CPR's labor.

I paid about $610 parts and labor at CPR. Mine was the first S197 they did a gear install on. At that time it was $285 for the install, but I think they will raise their price a little on an S197 gear install since it's a little more is involved. They do great work.

Yes ! :( Pain in the buttocks it about 1.5-2.0 more hrs. So around 450.

PS, starting the subframes here pretty soon. So I'll have an idea on the time it takes.

Yeah I was. The panhard is a little more, but not too bad. It's the way Ford did the duels. So hard to apply close to 300ft/lbs in such a small area, with only about 45deg to turn a wrench. By the time the dang wrench bends, and the nut finally starts to turn, you run into the muffler.

Funny you mention the small area. I was at the auto hobby shop at Miramar and I was talking to one guy who had just finished installing a midpipe on his New Edge stang. It took him and his friend less than an hour. I told him it took me about 2.5 hrs to do a midpipe change. He has said the New Edge is a lot easier to work on because the S197 almost everything is in such tight spaces.
