Any 4 bolt block should handle 1000 horsepower easily (with the correct internal parts)

1000 rwhp no problem. Cheap ? Good luck man. I know of one that did 1200rwhp and he wanted 3500. But they are getting harder to find new.

Yeah, but it will need lot's of $$$$$$$machine$$$$$$$ work. I'd buy a used short block personally.

Every 4 bolt block I've seen only has the four bolt mains in the center caps. The end caps are usually two bolt mains. Not sure what the reasoning behind that is.

so then does any body know where there is a used short block sittin around? because i would be very interested in such information as i do not want t pul my heads and then put them back on a shity fuckin block, the heads must be pulled due to fucked guides and seats plus the turbo kit sitting in my barracks room is throwing a fit because it is'nt under my hood but like i said until i can get a decent block then you get the picture????
so if anybody has any insider information i would be ever so happy to be filled in! thanx gents!!!!

A block with 4 bolts on all 5 mains doesn't mean you have to buy an aftermarket pan. It becomes a problem around the corners. And most aftermarket pans use a stock oil pan as a base anyways. So technically you are using a stock pan in the area that's a problem anyways.
