I plan on building a 5.0 motor with twin turbo's for my 59 edsel in the very close future, what I am wondering is what I will need to do this. I have already planned on basically doing a stock rebuild with new pistons, plus a girdle for the mains and a high volume oil pump. I am looking to run between 8 to 10 pounds of boost, I already have the turbos.
I am wondering about possible intake options, what size injectors and MAF, what cam, rockers, pushrods and valve springs I should use. I am really shooting for the 500 hp mark but is this possible with stock heads (or port matched)?
I am really trying to do this on the low buck side (since my ranger has blead me dry), so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also Em or Patty if it would be possible to throw together some prices for the parts you suggest. Thanks alot this will be my first venture into the realm of turbos, thanks for any help!

lots of stock motor 5.0 combo's with turbo's are in the 500hp range. My friend has a single 70mm turbo mustang with a completely stock 5.0, stock throttle body, stock intake, stock everything except good head gaskets and head studs, a canton 7qt oil pan with canton main girdle, and a high volume oil pump. Made 473rwhp on 10psi

I'd recommend:

Cobra/GT40/Explorer/Edelbrock Performer/Performer RPM/
42lb injectors
PMAS or Pro-M blow-thru MAF calibrated for 42lb injectors
stock cam
1.7 roller rockers, the ford ones off 93-95 cobra's would be perfect
hardened pushrods (you will need to use an adj. length pushrod to check for what length to buy once the motor is together)
trickflow makes valve springs for stock heads that are good to 550 lift
also, if you're getting a high volume oil pump, you need a larger oil pan, I went with Canton, the stock pan will run dry.

Just curious, what are the specs on the turbos that you have?
