Just talked to the owner of a shop in El Cajon that is currently redoing an 2009 HCM Mustang that was sent by a Ford Dealership.

The car is FUCKED UP!!

The body kit was installed with "Liquid Nails" and wood screws. It is a 15K redo that is being paid for by the Dealership.

I am in the process of trying to get my hands on some pictures.

That stang looked like shit! It came back to his shop several times to get repaired. That fag even went as far as to use Gorilla Glue from Home Depot to keep that fucken kit on. The paint had all kinds of fucken dirt in it, the wing looked like it was about to fly the fuck off. The front bumper had spots where they burned right through the paint when buffing.
When you have the Regional Sales Manager from Drew Ford coming to your shop with the car telling you, "get this shit fixed" and you still cant perform, your a fucken joke. Explains why his next big project is to target the Mexican Community, his shit will look amazing in the barrios of Tijuana. Sad that those are the standards "su gente" have. "Si se puede, si se puede!" LMAO!

On the flip side, I repaired a pot metal thermostat housing for a '67 Jaguar with JB Weld because I couldn't get a new housing short of ordering the damn thing custom made from a repair shop in England. For shit like that, JB Industro Weld works pretty damn good - mix it, smear it on, sand, grind, etc. to get it to near factory specs for the part, and it will work fine. It's held up for the past several years now without failure. :)

Any time I see a Stangpede car on the road now, I cringe and wonder how long it'll be before it crashes due to parts failure/improper installation or breaks down and has to be pushed...

There ain't nothing I have not done to a 3.8 and here I am a couple of years older and longer in the tooth and have learned (by my own pocketbook and time spent) that there is NO point.

It is NOT a strong motor to even start with (as opposed to the Buick engine it was based off of), and even fully built it will lose ANY streetability somewhere around 350 horses.

Why?

You are going to dig into your pocketbook AT LEAST 10k to build a motor, add blower, fuel system, etc.

That is about 40% of what a 2011 V6 would set you back which out of the box already has 305 warrantied horsies and with a blower will probably hit 400 with ease.

Take it from someone who HAS been there and HAS done that.

It aint worth it.
