Monday Night Football and Muscle Mustangs......whos up for it???? I was thinking about setting a place where we can all hang out and watch Monday night football, if I still lived at my old place then we couldve done it there since it had a movie theatre room and screen to watch the game on (Superbowls were a blast), but I am not there anymore and so a Sportsbar will have to do. I think this will be cool, we can meet a bit early, check out each others rides and then head in and watch the game and eat some grub and drink some beer. Hopefully we can grow as the season goes on and other stangs and clubs can join in and take over a large parking lot like our own car show/meet.

What do you think?

Where would be a good place that accomidates everyone to the best ability? (Remember some people are coming from all over SD {south, east, north}, Temecula, and OC areas)

I talked my boss into hosting us if you are interested in that. Its a Japanese Steak and Sushi place in Encinitas (like Benihana, but better) and we have a good happy hour, which is getting better and will go on throughout the entire game (every televised NFL game). Large parking lot we can easily take over and plenty of room to sit in bar/lounge, 3 large plasma tvs, 2 in bar/lounge, full bar, Guiness, Bass, Kirin, and Sapporo on tap, plenty of other beers, I can provide a menu and prices. Cute waitresses and the only downside is that I would have to work that day instead of having it off so there is a bartender, but I am down with that if you guys are willing. What you think?

Great idea Richard, it'll have to far away from Qualcomm though (for the Chargers game) any other MNF game will be fine at just about any bar.

two other ideas I have thought of as far as where are....

there is a Sports Bar in La Jolla near in the AMC 12 mall, I dont know its name but the food is good, they brew their own beer and thats good and big selection, and tons of tvs, and plenty of parking, but it will probably be packed, my place isnt too busy on Mondays but I've never worked a Monday Night Football game before and I do have several regulars (some that own stangs) that love football, I dont think we would have too much trouble with seating at my place though and the bar/lounge would be all ours for the most part.

and the other is more of a drive for south SDers, but somewhere at the spectrum in Irvine, several good bars/resturants for watching the game and plenty of parking, but again it will get crowded and it is a drive.

I would be down, but I work Mondays. I will have a couple off throughout the course of the 05 NFL season, so I would love to have a group meet/hangout.

I have been to that sports bar you are talking about, but dad gummit, cant think of the name. Bow would know, hopefully he will chime in.

hello....anyone interested I will do the work to organize it I was just wondering if it would be worth it to do.....if we cant get enough stangs involved we can open it up to all cars and I know I can get a couple Ferrari and Lambo guys and a few guys into vettes, what say you? I would like it to be a stang thing.

There's a nice place in Kearny/Clairemont called the Bullpen. Nice big comfy chairs, tons of TV's all around, and I think they have drink specials too. It's next to Cheetah's and on the cross street of Clairemont Mesa Blvd and Mercury St... however, it might be a little too far for the NC crowd.

well season is drawing near, is anyone interested in doing this at all.....if it works for everyone I can set it up at my work and if that doesnt sound like a good idea speak up now so I can organize it, I am just trying to get everyones oppinions so as to accomadate the most amount of people possible.

Getting thing setup to far in advance is hard for most of the peeps around here. Honestly, you'll have to wait till a week before the a game and throw out a post. That's the best way to get the ball rolling on a smaller hang out type event. I can't really commit to any Monday game just yet :frown:

well I was trying to make this a reoccuring thing that happened every monday night and so its a come if you can thing when you can and not have to commit to a specific monday, I just figured it would make it convenient to have it at the same place every time so that it can grow and become a cool event, so thats why I was asking if people would like to have this going on so that they can come if they can when they can and if so where would they like to go and be willing to drive to.

ok so I am going to set this up and spread the word, and if any of you want to show up on any of these mondays then do so....I will post final details of when and where (other than monday nights) tomorrow, I am probably going to set it up with my manager at my work so if anyone has an objection to a Japanese Steak house or sushi speak up now please.....

no but if everyone is interested we can do this at my work, then I would change my schedule and work on mondays so that there is a bartender for these meets, if everyone would prefer to do it elsewhere then I will not change schedules so I can attend because I would like to join in the festivities.

well it would kind of depend on where, but saying that we do it at my work and the game starts at 6pm, we open at 5 so getting there sometime around then would be good to get in and get parking for everyone before the place starts filling up, I was thinking before the games we can kind of hang out and check out each others cars for a while before heading inside for the game, the crappy thing is that if we start getting busy inside I wont be able to hang outside with everyone and check out your rides, it would be just work, oh well, but I will figure it all out with my boss tomorrow and post the details, so everyone has until then to throw out other ideas if you object to Miyabi as the location.

well regardless of where, if i can make it next monday, it'll be past 7 anways. i get off work then. that sports bar by the AMC 12 in La Jolla is also a good place, or at least it used to be, when it was called Sports City
