Black Mustang Club BBQ and Cruise, September 10: San Diego

this is a real fun thing that is open to all BLACK mustangs, sorry non-blackies, here is the info that was posted on the BMC forum, so this isnt at "my" house when it talks about "ME" or "MY" I am just spreading the word. You can also go here for more details......

This post will be updated with all new information But this is as it stands:
Plan:

Meet at my house for BBQ dinner and meet the others. At 5:30, leave here and cruise to Sunset Cliffs. Sunset is at 7:01 PM Photo our cars lines up against the cliffs with ocean and sunset backdrop. From there, any additional cruising will be decided among members who still have the energy to drive.

The trip from my house to the cliffs will take us from here to mission gorge to the 52 west to the 163 south to the 8 west to the end, left on Sunset cliffs blvd to the cliffs. We are leaving this early to make sure that there is parking together.

What to bring:

I will provide burgers and all the trimmings, chips and sodas. If you would like to bring something else to throw on the BBQ, please feel free! (make sure whatever it is is thawed by the time you get here, this is a time saver! )

Directions to my house:

From North West San Diego County:
(This includes from the Saleen show)
Take the 5 south to the 805 south
Get onto the 52 west
Take the MAST exit turn left
Turn right at West Hills Parkway (First light)
Turn left on Mission Gorge
Turn right on Big Rock Road
Turn right on Poplin
Address is 8009 Poplin, it is about half way up the street


From North East San Diego and Temecula
Take the 15 south
Get onto the 52 west
Take the MAST exit turn left
Turn right at West Hills Parkway (First light)

Just so you all know...there was a Dark Shadow Grey Stang meeting here at my place tonight. It was great. All the DSG stangs in SoCal Stangs showed up.....meaning it was just me! So HA!!!! TAKE THAT!!! Don't you Black Mustang owners feel left out now?

This thread has gotten a little out of hand. The gentleman that came up with this idea is of course from BMC. He wanted BMC members to get together since they were doing the same in other areas. So all the BMC members in the area could get together and meet up. That is it. It wasn't meant to be posted on every board and make this a gathering of stangs, because what is happening now. People feeling alienated which was not the intent. No need to get offended or anything. The guy had only the best of intentions. The is just another version of the Yellow Mustang Registry. I know rrobello had the best of intentions to but here is what it says on the first page of the post.

Man, I hope we're not really taking it that seriously. It's not like there aren't more than enough events already scheduled, but I can see why it comes off as elitist (and I use that term very loosely). When other clubs have meets, they welcome others from different groups, but this one does not.

IM in and I know of one chick that is coming down for the BMC meet from NorCal that will also be heading up to the Saleen Show from here so thats two (Ill tell her the details) and I think Surfn will be down here too so he can cruise up as well that makes 3 plus you so four black stangs, anyone else?

as far as food goes for this event, the guy putting it on says he has stuff, but suggests that we bring some stuff that we like just in case, plus it would be nice to help out instead of leaving it all on him., its just a casual bbq, just make sure things are thawed so it doesnt take forever
